Gratitude is the quality of being thankful. Thankful for everything we have got in our lives. Our family, friends, or things we have. When we make a habit of being thankful for every small thing it helps us to count our blessings over problems.

Let your children develop ‘an attitude of gratitude. Teach them its importance. This way they will feel positive about everything around them instead of complaining. They will feel that they are much better than those who are not blessed with such things.

The more they feel thankful, the more they attract its vibes, like a vicious circle. Ask them to create a gratitude tree!

Teach your child about ‘Self-care’

Self-care begins with mindfulness. It is a type of meditation in which one focuses completely on oneself.

Self-care can be divided into three mains. It means looking after your body, your thoughts, and your emotions.

First, taking care of your body needs physical fitness and a balanced diet. As said, A healthy mind resides in a healthy body. So, regular exercise and the right nutrition must be a part of daily life.

Second, keep your thoughts positive. Because thoughts become actions, actions become words and your words become your life. Meditation helps to keep thoughts in control. Let your child make a habit of meditating and feel inner peace.

Third and last, to express their emotions in the right manner. Let them know it is okay to have different emotions in different situations. They should learn quality of how to tackle and overcome those. They must move on always.

Not expressing emotions can be harmful to the mental health.

Teach your child the quality of forgiveness

Forgiveness doesn’t mean that you are not right. It means that you believe in keeping the relationship above all. It doesn’t make you small either. But when there is a quality of forgiveness in your character you feel less burdened. You maintain your relationships. Let your child adopt this quality in a fruitful manner.

Teach your child ‘Learn to say No’

This one is very important and everyone must learn this quality. No is not just a word, it is a complete answer in itself. Saying no means that you are not interested in that particular thing. And so you are not bounded. When you learn to say so, it helps you to make choices.

Teach your child to make choices for themselves, else choices will make them!

Teach your child ‘To apologize when wrong’

This quality is not obeyed and learned. Children grab this quality when they observe so. Before teaching your child this attribute, the first parent should do it themselves. They should develop the habit of apologizing when they are wrong.

Apologize among themselves, to elders, and even to young ones. This way they preach a message that they admit their mistakes and try not to repeat them. When children see their parents doing so, they believe in its obviosity and then follow. It helps to keep the relationship strong.

Teach your child about ‘Equality’

Equality is a versatile term. It can be gender-specific, religion-based, or status-level matches. We have heard a lot about it. Our stereotype societies have taught us much about it. But practically, it is not applicable everywhere.

It needs change and the change begins with us. We must inculcate the theory of equality among our children.

Let’s make up their mind in such a way that they treat everyone above or below, rich or poor, able or disabled, any caste, creed, or gender with equality. Equality also comes with sharing. Teach them moral phrases like how sharing is caring, less is more, etc.

Teach your child ‘The art of Acceptance’

Acceptance is the key to everything. Let’s talk about it in a broader sense. It is easy to say that accept what life gives you but sometimes it becomes the hardest reality. You may or may not like it. But it is what it is.

Most of us have the habit of complaining instead of counting our blessings. And that’s where the complexity starts. Let’s keep it simple.

We must make more and more habits of acceptance, and then act. Accept what you are and how you are. Don’t change yourself for others. Let others accept you your way! When you follow this approach fewer things will bother you. Teach your child why it is important to learn acceptance.

The outbreak of the pandemic is one such great example that has left us with no choice but to adapt to a new normalcy. Accepted. Let your child also develops the habit of accepting things beyond control. The best thing about this attribute is that it saves a lot of energy. Use potential energy in much better things.

Teach your child to Focus and believe’

Two important things, parents should teach their children

First, is to ‘focus’ on in the present scenario. Children must see, in the current situation, what they have in their hands, how they can use it and what best they can do with it.

Second, is to believe in “It is simple” approach. Whatever is the thing, matter or job, it can be done in a simple manner and there is no ‘rocket science’ needed to do it.

Parents can use their own valuable experience and knowledge. They can impart some noteworthy life lessons to their kids. Make them capable enough to manage their affairs on their own. The children should be able to handle every situation in life with confidence. Even without the active support of parents later on in life.
